Wise Woman of God
“Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. ” Proverbs 14:1
Are you a wise woman?
Please before you answer, consider the following…
- A woman is highly influential
- Whether single or married, you are impacting the men around you
“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.” James 3:13
Where does a wise woman get her wisdom?
There are two kinds of wisdom:
- An earthly, sensual, and devilish wisdom (James 3:14-16)
- Or wisdom that is from above (James 3:17-18)
Both the earthly and the heavenly wisdom are called wisdom. Earthly wisdom is foolishness. Yet how often do we, like our mother Eve, think in sensual terms? How prevalent is the devilish voice beckoning us to be as gods saying… “you know best”
An earthly wise woman can influence the men around her as the women of Israel influenced their men.
“The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein, Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers. Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.” Jeremiah 44:1-5
The women, married and single alike, influenced the men of Israel not to hearken to God.
May we seek to be women of heavenly wisdom.
Here is my prayer for every wise woman that names the name of Christ…
Oh Lord, revive us again for we are thy holy women. Open our spiritual wise woman eyes to the tremendous influence you have given us. Bring us low that only you are the one to lift us up. Oh Lord, help us to humble ourselves at thy feet. Once more, wash them with our tears. To pray for our men – husbands, fathers, pastors etc. That you be glorified in their lives.
Open our wise woman eyes to the idols we sacrifice to, drawing our men away from thy holy council. Yes, we are the weaker vessel, but don’t allow us to use it as an excuse for our lack of responsibility. We are your wise women. Instrument to inspire our men to thee. We are your daughters.
